Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Thighs with Quick Gravy
15 mins prepServes 4
Crispy boneless, skin-on chicken thighs cooked in an air fryer, served with a simple homemade gravy. Perfect for an easy lunch, dinner, or even breakfast.
For the Chicken:
1. Pat the chicken thighs completely dry. Very dry. This is key for crispiness.
2. Lightly sprinkle baking powder over the skin.
3. Season generously on all sides.
4. Mix cornstarch and 1/2 cup all-purpose flour together. Lightly season the flour mixture.
5. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, pressing so it sticks well. Shake off excess.
6. Air fry at 385°F for 12 minutes, skin side up.
7. Lightly spray with oil, flip, then air fry another 12 minutes at 385°F until golden and crispy.
For the Quick Gravy:
1. Melt 3 tbsp butter in a small saucepan and let it brown slightly.
2. Add 3 tbsp all-purpose flour and cook until lightly golden and fragrant.
3. Add black pepper and 1 cup chicken stock.
4. Stir continuously until smooth, thick, and glossy.
Serve the crispy chicken thighs straight from the air fryer with warm gravy on the side.
